Power outages in the Transnistrian region will now occur only once a day, but their duration has been extended to five hours. Additionally, residents are warned that electricity may be reconnected with a one-hour delay due to the technical process of disconnecting and reconnecting power, IPN reports.

The administration in Tiraspol announced that electricity will be cut off from 13:00 to 18:00 for one group of addresses, and from 18:00 to 23:00 for another group of addresses.

Homes in the Transnistrian region have been disconnected from the heating system, but electricity continues to be supplied. The Transnistrian administration previously stated that this supply potential exists for the months of January and February.

Initially, power was cut off for one hour per sector, but by January 7, outages had increased to eight hours—four hours twice a day. Tiraspol justified the power cuts, citing that local residents were consuming more electricity than was being produced.
