Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti has issued a decree conferring state distinctions on two Telenesti firefighters who died on November 26 in the line of duty, IPN reports.
Firefighters Nicolae Popa and Gheorghe Sova were awarded the I Class Faith to the Motherland Order.
Crew chief Ion Bran and firefighter Boris Ilescu, who were injured in the deadly fire, were awarded the Medal of Valor.
The fire devastated a two-floor store in Telenesti town. Two firefighters, 21 and 24, died after being crushed under the ceiling that collapsed.
