Postal authorities of Moldova and Romania launch cash transfer service

The postal authorities of Moldova and Romania have launched a cash transfer service with a  fixed commission of €5 for transfers of at most €1,000, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, the transferred money will reach the addressee within 24 hours. In Moldova there are over 1,000 post offices, while in Romania – more than 5,500.

The state-owned postal company “Posta Moldovei” launched a similar service with Italy last October. The cash transfers from Italy to Moldova came to over €1.8 million so far. Such services will be also provided in the relations with Spain, Russia, Poland and other states.
