Polling places for European parliamentary elections in Moldova will open at 7am

Romanian Ambassador in Chisinau Marius Lazurca in a news conference provided details about the voting process within the May 25 European parliamentary elections in Moldova. The eight polling places where the people with Romanian nationality can vote will be open between 7am and 9pm. The diplomat recommended the voters to avoid going to the polling places late in the evening, when queues can be formed, IPN reports.

Four polling places will work in Chisinau: at the Embassy of Romania, at 66/1 Bucuresti St; at the consular section on Grigore Ureche St (two polling places), and at the Romanian Cultural Institute located at 39 Vlaicu Parcalab St.

Two polling places will be set up in Balit, both at the Consulate General of Romania, at 51 Sf. Nicolae St. One polling place will be established at the Consulate General of Romania in Cahul, at 11 B.P. Hasdeu St, and another one at the Consular Office in Ungheni, at 35 Mihai Eminescu St.

To be able to cast their ballots, the voters must have valid Romanian identification papers, including identity card, diplomatic passport, service passport or ordinary passport. The Romanian nationality certificate or the travel document cannot be used to vote.
