A patrol inspector aged 48 was found dead in a wooded strip on Studenților St in Râșcani district of Chisinau in the morning of November 17. The man had a bullet wound in the head. His legally held gun was found nearby.
Asked by IPN to provide details, Natalia Stati, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division, said the call to 112 was made by a passerby at about 8:30am. The medical examiner identified a gunshot wound in the man’s head.
An investigation is underway. Suicide is among the examined versions. No other details about the victim were made public.
