The police officer from Orhei, in whose presence a minor girl was raped and who is suspected of raping the same girl earlier, was fired, IPN reports.

“An internal inquiry was launched in the case of the policeman who is suspected of complicity in the rape of a minor girl from Orhei. It was established that this had an inappropriate behavior and an attitude that lacked integrity and dignity. The policeman was punished disciplinarily with dismissal. Such behavior is not tolerated in the police. He risks being penalized in accordance with the law,” the General Police Inspectorate said in a press release.

The policeman from Orhei was handcuffed one week after two residents of Vatici village were arrested on suspicion of raping a teenage girl in the presence of the first. It was determined that the victim was sexually abused by the police officer four days earlier. On the pretext of having a complaint to examine, he took the girl to the Orhei Police Inspectorate where he raped her in his office. The investigation goes on. The culprits face up to 12 years in jail.
