Police unveils scheme of illegally taking Moldovan girls to Italy

The police has discovered a network specialized in forging documents pursuing to illegally take Moldovan girls to Italy, where they were to become dancers in night clubs, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Interior Ministry. The police has established the girls were recruited by posting announcements in media. An inhabitant from Cojusna village, near Chisinau, used to teach the girls to dance against 600 lei for a training sessions. The girls even received graduation certificates after three months of schooling. The certificates were forged by other two companies, which were counterfeiting the Education Ministry's seal and the signature of a deputy minister to be printed on the documents. According to the police, five dancer certificates have been forged, on the basis of which the girls were to get work contracts in Italy. The dancers were to go with those documents to the Italian consulate in Chisinau to get work visas. If reaching the destination, the girls were to return the organizers by 1,500 euros each. The police has started legal procedures “for forging official documents or using false official seals and signatures.” If found guilty the people involved in the scheme will have to pay fines of up to 6,000 lei, non-remunerated work for the community or two years in jail. The police is investigating the scam.
