The Prosecution Department of the Ministry of the Interior opened a criminal case over illegal hunting in the scientific reserve “Padurea Domneasca”. According to a communiqué from the Ministry, the regime of managing and protecting the natural areas defended by the state was violated, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Domneasca Forest is a scientific reserve, where hunting is banned. Only the selective control of animals is allowed there in order to maintain the ecological balance, which is selective hunting by specialists or experienced hunters. But the December 23 hunting involved persons who do not have experience in hunting. Thus, the rules were flagrantly violated, it is said in the communiqué. As regards the wound caused to a hunting participant, it was established that there were used bullets banned in boar hunting. According to the police, the Society of Hunters and Fishermen of Moldova informed that the young man who was wounded mortally is not present in the Society’s database either as hunter or as a candidate for hunter. The December 23 hunting in the Domneasca Forest, which resulted in the death of a man, involved government officials and businessmen.
