Six persons, among whom is a lawyer, were arrested on suspicion that they distributed drugs in northern Moldova. The seized drugs are estimated at about 7 million lei on the black market, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, the narcotic substances were sold on the territory of the municipality of Bălți and in Dondușeni district.
The police searched the homes, storerooms and units of transport of eight suspects aged between 23 and 62. As a result of the investigation measures, six men, one of whom is a lawyer, were arrested.
Searches were also carried out at the homes and offices of two employees of northern police inspectorates. The investigation goes on to identify other persons who took part or favored the distribution of drugs.
