Police seize drugs worth 1m lei

The police discovered drugs valued at 1 million lei at the house of a 30-year-old man residing in a village in Floresti district, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The man was caught in the act of trying to sell the drugs to a police officer under cover. The policemen also detained a person suspected of helping the first man to sell the drugs. While searching the man’s home, the police found 62 hashish pills, about 2 kg of hemp powder prepared for making hashish pills, a screw vise, two metallic cylinders and different coins with imprints on them similar to those on the pills, which were used to make them. According to the police, a hashish pill on the black market costs $50. The two men are liable to 7 to 20 years’ imprisonment.
