Four young people were arrested on suspicion that they smuggled contraband. As a result of searches at their homes, the police found different types of drugs estimated at about 1 million lei, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases said that the two men and girls are aged between 18 and 25. They are all have the temporary domicile in the municipality of Chisinau.
Besides drugs, there were found an illegally held pneumatic gun and over 35,000 lei in different currencies.
The leader of the group during five months organized the distribution of drugs in almost 5,000 secret places, in amounts that varied between 1 gram and 200 grams.
The four were arrested with the assistance of officers of the Special Destination Brigade “Fulger.” On Thursday, the court ordered to remand the four in custody for 30 days.
