The police have found an impressive lot of dairy products at the butter factory in Floresti, which were stamped with a future fabrication date. During the raid butter, which had already been expired for a year, was found, reports Info-Prim Neo. According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 300 packs of skimmed kefir labeled 14.07.2012 were found, whereas the raid took place on 12.07.2012. Additionally, over a ton of butter was waiting to be sold, although its expiry date was June 2011. Viorica Sterbet, chief of Information Service and mass media relations of the Consumer Protection Agency, told Info-Prim Neo that the Agency will make additional inspections to the factory. According to Viorica Sterbet, the organization of such inspections is the duty of the Agency, but the police have more levers for raiding without needing consumers’ complaints or expired merchandise on store shelves. Administrative proceedings were started against the administration of the factory, for the use of false labels and the breach of commerce regulation. For such breaches fees may rise up to 300 conventional units.
