Police put on alert by driver

A female driver in the morning of October 22 informed the police that she had something suspicious under her car. A bomb squad examined he scene, but found no explosives there.

Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN that the call to 112 was made by a woman aged 31 at about 11am. She said that there was a suspect object near the tailpipe of her car parked at the intersection of the streets Vasile Alecsandri and Veronica Micle in the capital city.

The area was fenced, but wasn’t closed to traffic. It turned out that there was a GPS device near the tailpipe about which the woman didn’t know.
