The police provided a number of maps with alternative movement routes in the districts of the capital city in connection with the general simulation for the European Political Community (EPC) Summit. The rehearsal will take place between 9am and 2pm on May 14, IPN reports.

The Media Group for Security News (MGSN-EPC) said that the main arteries of Centru and Botanica districts and areas adjoining Chisinau will be closed for traffic for five hours this Sunday, while the official columns involved in the general simulation will travel through those areas.

“On this occasion, the inhabitants of the municipality of Chisinau, to be able to move to different districts of the city, are asked to travel through Buiucani district that will serve as a transit sector for bypassing the streets that will be used by the official delegations,” it is said in a press release.

To travel from Ciocana and Râșcani districts to Botanica district  or the upper part of Centru district, one could use the streets Toma Ciorbă and Mihai Viteazul. The movement from Botanica to Râșcani and Ciocana will be possible through Mihai Viteazul St or any other street that is not closed to traffic.

Traffic restrictions will be imposed on the Bulboaca – Chisinau and Chisinau-Bulboaca routes. The units of transport traveling from Bender town to the municipality of Chisinau will be diverted onto d/n M5, through Calfa, or onto d/n G109(Delacău – Bulboaca – R2).

The units of transport traveling from Ștefan Vodă and Căușeni districts to the municipality of Chisinau will be diverted onto d/n M5 or through Calfa.

The citizens who have flights for May 14, between 9am and 2pm, are asked to plan beforehand the route to the Chisinau International Argot, to inform themselves in advance about the adjusted schedule of public transport, primarily of interurban routes, and to have IDs on them so as to be able to prove their identify if necessary.

The tactical exercises of the general simulation can thwart the schedule of public transport and can generate traffic jams in central Chisinau and the areas close to the capital city.

The activities of institutions that work 24/7, the commercial and cultural activities and also the public events staged outside the security perimeters will not be affected during the simulation.
