About 3,500 police officers will be on duty on May 9-10 to maintain public order and road traffic safety and to monitor the observance of the measures to prevent infection with COVID-19. The police will patrol the territory of cemeteries and the areas near them, including in settlements were access to cemeteries to remember the dead on Sunday of the Dead is banned, IPN reports.

The General Police Inspectorate said the people in the localities where access to cemeteries is allowed should avoid crowdedness near the graves. The police will monitor the maintaining of social distancing and the possession of masks and gloves by citizens.

Commemoration meals and drinking of alcoholic beverages in public places, including inside cemeteries, are not allowed. The parents are asked not to leave the children unsupervised.

Another recommendation is not to park the motor vehicles near cemeteries. Parking is allowed only in specially set up places. The people are asked not to leave valuable items in the car, such as bags, jewels and cellphones.

A higher number of police patrols will be present on the national roads. The drivers are urged to obey the speed limit and not to drive under the influence of alcohol.
