The platoon of patrol officers on bikes in several weeks will work in pedestrian and recreational areas in Chisinau municipality.
In this connection, during two weeks the patrol officers will attend a training course staged under the aegis of the U.S. Embassy in Moldova, IPN reports, with reference to the website of the General Police Inspectorate.
The training course is taught by William Trusell and Ron Kalomeris, who are experts of the International Police Mountain Bike Association.
In this connection, General Police Inspectorate chief Alexandru Pinzari said this model of patrolling will offer the citizens public safety in the city and will bring the police closer to the community.
