Police catches drugs worth 500,000 lei

The police has arrested two Chisinau residents, aged 49 and 30, suspected of keeping and selling narcotics. Those two were arrested as they tried to sell a syringe with narcotic substance resembling opium and worth 2,000 lei, reads the web page of the Interior Ministry, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Searching the household of one of them, the police discovered two bags of poppy straws (400 gr each), 5 liters of brown substance resembling opium and a paper bag of ground substances resembling marijuana (100 gr). The catch is assessed at 500,000 lei, reads the pres release.
The suspects may get jailed from 7 to 20 years.
