Police catch thieves of precious stones

Two men face up to 12 years in jail for robbing an apartment situated in Chisinau's Rascani district, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Adrian Jovmir, the head of the General Police Commissariat's press office, said the suspects aged 22 and 34 are suspected of stealing seven precious stones, a notebook and other things assessed at about US$12,000.
The youngest suspect is a student and lives in Chisinau. The other man, from Tirapol, has a criminal record.
The police commissariat of Rascani district opened a criminal case over theft, which is punished with 7 to 12 years in prison.
