The police arrested a man who is suspected of stealing elevator braking spools in Chisinau. In the June 10 meeting of City Hall officials, Silviu Musuc, deputy head of the Chisinau Police Division, said the suspect was put under arrest for 30 days, IPN reports.
A criminal case was started against the man. He faces a fine of 6,000 to 20,000 lei or up to four years in jail.
In May, a number of elevators in Chisinau’s Ciocana district became nonfunctional after they remained without braking spools. All those elevators are managed by SRL Grand Lift.
