Police ask for help to identify the victim of a road accident

Two pedestrians died and three others were injured as a result of road accidents on August 27 in the capital.
Chisinau Road Police Inspector Ion Roscovanu told Info-Prim Neo that an accident with a lethal outcome took place at 21.00 on Hancesti street, in the surroundings of the Southern Bus Station. A vehicle, initially unidentified, hit 3 pedestrians, 2 of which died in the reanimation room of the Emergency Hospital. The Road Police ask for help in identifying the third victim, a woman aged 50-55, 165 cm height, average size, who at the time of the accident was wearing a red blouse, a black blazer and black trousers. Those who have information are asked to call on 27-25-01, 88-92-09 or 902.
The second victim of the same road accident is a man aged 28, with domicile in Leova. His wife, aged 22 was also hospitalised in a critical condition at the Emergency Hospital in the capital with cranial-cerebral trauma, concussion and traumatic shock.
According to Ion Roscovanu, as a result of operational-investigation procedures, undertaken by the Municipal road Police, a vehicle Ford Curier, containing three passengers is suspect. The main suspect, a man aged 31, was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident and did not have his driver’s license on him.
Over the past 24 hours, the road officers fined 332 drivers, including 88 for speeding, 11 for drunk-driving and 17 jay-walkers.
