Police arrest nine individuals suspected of robbery and ill-treatment

The police arrested nine individuals, one of whom an underage girl, on suspicion that they committed a number of robberies and thefts. Last November, they maltreated a woman from Nisporeni district with an iron and robbed her, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the suspects are aged between 17 and 57. Three months ago, they entered the house of a woman from Varzaresti, Nisporeni. They ill-treated the woman and stole 34,000 lei and a golden jewel from her. Another robbery was committed on January 23. The offenders used the same scenario. They broke into the house of a man from the same village, maltreated the owner and stole a computer, a printer, plates and other goods to the value of 40,000 lei. In both of the cases, the suspects broke into at night, with gloves and masks on their faces. When questioned, the individuals admitted their guilt. They face 5 to 14 years in prison.
