Police arrest drug dealer

A 31-year-old Calarasi man was arrested as he tried to sell 150,000 lei worth of illegal drugs to an undercover police officer, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Ministry of Interiors, the police acted on information that the man had sold 10 cupful of marijuana for 500 lei each. Interrogated by the police, the suspect said that he was buying the drugs from some producers in Calarasi and was selling them at a higher price. The police are investigating the case, and if the man is found guilty by a court, he could serve from 7 to 20 years in prison. 309 drug-related cases were registered from the beginning of the year.
