The Republic of Poland supported and will support Moldova’s European integration aspirations. The changes, including the reforms in this regard, are already seen and this is commendable, Marshal of the Senate of Poland Stanisław Karczewski stated in a press briefing. The official noted Poland its ready to share its experience and knowledge of the European integration so that Moldova could successfully reach the destination, IPN reports.
Stanisław Karczewski, who is in Moldova on a three-day visit, said his visit is very important for building better relations between the two countries. His meeting with Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candru centered on subjects related to the history of the states, the existing relations and friendship. However, even if there is economic cooperation, scientific, cultural or tourism exchanges, there is yet potential that can be realized.
The official expressed his gratitude for Moldova’s care for the Polish diaspora here, which consists of about 20,000 persons, and invited Andrian Candu to pay an official visit to Poland.
For his part, Andrian Candu said the cooperation relations between the Parliaments of Moldova and Poland and between the two states are special. “In fact, Poland is one of the countries that suggested launching the Eastern Partnership of good cooperation with the EU and Moldova’s status of associated country is mainly due to the support offered by Poland. Poland is an economic partner that helps promote products and investments, the two states being closely connected from cultural and historical viewpoints,” stated the Speaker.
The Marshal of the Senate of Poland Stanisław Karczewski is visiting Moldova during October 4-6 at the initiation of Andrian Candu.
