Prime Minister Maia Sandu sent a congratulatory message after the snap parliamentary elections held in Ukraine where the Servant of the People party that supports President Volodymyr Zelensky won over 42% of the ballot so far, IPN reports.
“Dear Ukrainians, I congratulate you on yesterday’s mobilization and the clear vote in favor of change given to the new politicians who undertook to serve only the national interests,” Maia Sandu posted on Facebook.
According to the Central Election Commission of Ukraine, the results with 30% of the votes having been counted by this morning stand as follows: Servant of the People - 42%, Opposition Platform – for Life - 13% and European Solidarity - about 9% of the vote. Slightly over 8% of the electors voted for Batkivschyna and approximately 6% for Voice party.
The voter turnout was 49.84%.
