Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița during October 10-12 will be paying an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan. The official will have a meeting with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to consider possibilities of extending cooperation in key areas of common interest, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
Premier Gavrilița will also meet with her Azeri counterpart Ali Asadov. The officials will examine possibilities of strengthening cooperation in the energy sector and the possibility of importing natural gas from Azerbaijan into Moldova. The Moldovan official will also discuss with Azerbaijan’s Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova and Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov.
The agenda also includes the Prime Minister’s participation in the meeting of the Moldovan-Azeri intergovernmental commission for commercial and economic cooperation in Baku and in the bilateral Business Forum where the investment opportunities in the Republic of Moldova will be presented.
