European integration and the implementation of the Association Agreement is a strategic priority for Moldova. This was stated by Prime Minister Pavel Filip during a meeting in Brussels with European Council President Donald Tusk, the Government’s press service reported.

Pavel Filip used the occasion to highlight the achievements of his Cabinet since its investiture in 2016, emphasizing in particular achievements in the economic sector, the fiscal and budget, and financial and banking sector.

The prime minister stated that the efforts to consolidate the justice sector and good governance will continue. He added that it is important that the reforms started by the current Government continue and that the future governing coalition be firmly committed to implementing the Association Agreement with the European Union.

Pavel Filip is on a working visit to Brussels on May 13 and 14 to attend a series of events dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the Eastern Partnership. The Moldovan prime minister will deliver a speech at a High-Level Conference held on this occasion, and will attend a celebratory dinner hosted by Donald Tusk for the six heads of state or government of the EaP member countries.
