Prime Minister Iurie Leanca instructed the Competition Council, the National Agency for Energy Regulation and the Ministry of Economy to assess the prices on the oil market and to present reports.
“There were periods this year when the oil prices on international stock exchanges decreased, but I didn’t see companies working on our market to reduce the prices of gasoline and diesel fuel at filling stations. However, they react promptly when the prices on the stock exchange rise and when the exchange rate modifies,” he said.
The Premier asked that the assessment be carried out as soon as possible so as to propose solutions afterward.
A few days ago, the oil companies increased the prices of different fuels.
