The Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) made a call to the partners from the government coalition and to the extraparliamentary parties that share the European idea to sign a pact for guaranteeing the uninterrupted continuation of the European course, IPN reports.
According to the leader of the PLR Ion Hadarca, such a pact is necessary especially in the wake of the intensification of pressure on the part of Russia both by acts at regional level and by its agents in Moldova. “Surely we need a clear commitment that no post-electoral coalitions will be formed with Communist-Socialist or other forces that represent in fact the fifth column in Moldova,” stated Ion Hadarca. He said the call was already distributed to all the partners from the pro-European coalition.
In the same news conference, Ion Hadarca was asked about the disagreements between Ana Gutu and the other Liberal-Reformists. The politician answered that Ana Gutu remains a member of the PLR and can anytime ask to be included in the party’s list of candidates. Ion Hadarca noted that the way these disputes were handled is a proof of the democracy and pluralism of opinions existing inside the party.
The leader of the PLR presented the party’s deputy head Tatiana Potang as the spokeswoman for the PLR during the election campaign. Tatiana Potang announced that the Liberal-Reformists will officially start the election campaign in an event at the National Palace on October 19, at 11am. It will be preceded by laying of flowers at the monument to Ruler Stephan the Great at 10am. The event will end with a concert by the Romanian band “Directia 5”.
The Liberal Reformist Party will be written under No. 5 in the ballots for the November 30 parliamentary elections.
