The Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) has started a campaign to inform the people about Moldova’s European course titled “I’m European”. Members of the PLR will travel to settlements and will explain the people the benefits of the European course and what will happen to Moldova after the Association Agreement with the EU is signed and ratified, IPN reports.
The representative of the PLR, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tudor Ulianovschi said the visa-free trips in the Schengen Area will offer the Moldovans a number of advantages. The possibility of staying in Europe without visas for 90 days cumulatively during half a year can be used to examine the European area as an opportunity for studying or working there. As the necessity of applying for additional documents disappears, the Moldovans from the diaspora will also be able to meet the relatives from Moldova more often. The Free Trade Agreement that forms part of the Association Agreement will enable to attract more financial resources to Moldova, especially the rural areas, where most of the people age prematurely.
Another representative of the party, Mayor of Straseni Valentina Casian said it is important to transmit the campaign’s message about the benefits of the European integration to every Moldovan. She called on all the people to take an active part in this information campaign.
Ludmila Lupu, international officer of the PLR, said the role of the Liberal Reformist Party is important in the promotion of the information campaign’s message “We will go from home to home in every village and commune to tell the people about the advantages of Moldova’s integration into the EU,” she stated.
PLR secretary Roman Clima said there were set up eight mobile teams that will travel to over 200 settlements of Moldova to promote the message of the campaign “I’m European”. Information points will be created in Briceni, Anenii Noi, Soroca, Orhei, Stefan Voda, Ialoveni, Cahul, and Ungheni. Information teams will also work in every district of Chisinau municipality.
