The Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) said a political plot is being hatched against it, with the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) and the Democratic Party (PDM) working hand in hand to divide the party as it became inconvenient for the oligarchs. Moreover, the party’s administration considers that by the actions of Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, the agreement to constitute the Pro-European Coalition was denounced, IPN reports.

“The Liberal Reformist Party was a correct partner that didn’t want to become an accomplice to the leasing out of the Chisinau airport and the theft at Banca de Economii and to no other cases of corruption. Justice must be free. It is a priority for the PLR. We, the PLR, always described things as they are and have been correct with the people. Time has come for all the citizens of Moldova to know what’s going on in politics in Chisinau,” the chairman of the PLR Ion Hadarca says in a press statement.

According to the co-chairman of the PLR Oleg Bodrug, the leader of the PLDM Vlad Filat and the first deputy chairman of the PDM Vlad Plahotniuc during two months have tried to make the Liberal Reformists pay for saying the truth. “The PLR was subject to a media embargo, under the pressure of Filat and Plahotniuc. In parallel, our party’s division was completed through Ana Gutu and Vitalie Marinuta. They attempted to corrupt the deputy ministers. Bodisteanu (minister of youth and sport, e.n.) was recruited. The dismissal of the director of “Moldsilva” Agency Stefan Chitoroaga forms part of the same scheme,” he stated.

MP Valeriu Saharneanu noted that the PLDM and PDM, which say that they are pro-European, do things that nobody in an EU member state would dare to do: manipulate the people, use the country’s resources and play with the coalition partners.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Potang, by the refusal to dismiss Minister Octavian Bodisteanu and Deputy Ministers Sergiu Stanciu and Dorin Dusciac and by the dismissal of the director general of “Moldsilva” Stefan Chitoroaga, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca denounced de facto the agreement on the constitution of the government coalition.

The Liberal Reformist Party intends to discuss the situation existing inside the Pro European Coalition at the meeting of the National Political Council as the Coalition became practically non-functional at this stage.
