The Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group proposed extending the prenatal leave for women carrying triplets or more children from 70 calendar days to 112 days. The legislative initiative applies to working women and to wives who are maintained by salary earners, IPN reports.

The authors explained that the risk of suffering health problems increases during multiple pregnancies, both in the case of the mother and the babies.

According to the MPs, it is rational to allow these women to go on leave from the 25th week also because they carry the children for not more than 35 weeks, not about 40 weeks as the women pregnant with one or two babies.
