Representatives of the PLDM, PDM and PL held new consultations on Thursday afternoon. After the fourth meeting that lasted for over an hour, they said they agreed on a number of points as regards the principles of continuity, consensus and government mechanisms, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“We had a consistent discussion. I would emphasize three elements: 1. The mechanism of the future government coalition for ensuring its viability. 2. The principle of consensus for adopting decisions. 3. The principle of continuity of the reforms started by the present government. The discussions showed that we have many common views. We move at a normal pace. It is not true that the talks are being delayed. We also discuss technical details. We must not hurry so as not to make the same mistakes as last year,” said the first vice president of the PLDM Alexandru Tanase.
“We think it is not right to postpone the consultations. The discussions should take place quicker. A meeting of the leaders of the three parties is being arranged. The PDM needs clarity. The colleagues from the PLDM should more clearly describe the possible agreement,” said the vice president of the PDM Valeriu Lazar.
The first vice president of the PL Ion Hadarca said the dialogue was constructive and centered on the main problems that should be solved as soon as possible.
The politicians did not say when the new trialling meeting will take place, but stated that the talks will reopen in the near future.
The leaders of the three parties did not attend the discussions. The president of the PDM Marian Lupu Wednesday said that he will pay a private visit to Germany. The Liberal-Democrat leader Vlad Filat is to return from Brussels, while the Liberal leader Mihai Ghimpu said his presence was not so necessary if the two leaders were absent.
