The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), the Democratic Party (PDM) and the Communist Party (PCRM) remained at the top of the rankings of the ten most influential parties in July as well. The rankings are compiled by the Institute for Political Analysis and Consultancy “Politicon”, IPN reports.

According to analysts of “Politicon”, the PLDM holds the lead and it is rather improbable that it will be outstripped by another party until the November 30 parliamentary elections.

The PDM managed to strengthen its second position after switching places with the PCRM for several times. The analysts consider that the internal disputes faced by the PCRM had repercussions for the party’s image and influence and thus it came third.

The Liberal Party (PL) ranks fourth and has rather goods chances of entering Parliament after the coming elections.

The Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) took the fifth position and its chances of entering the next legislature are now uncertain. By the political score, the Liberal-Reformists are now closer to Igor Dodon’s Socialists rather than to the Liberals headed by Mihai Ghimpu.

The Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) continues to struggle for a place in the upper part of the top 10 rankings, but is still sixth. “The spectacular political ascension of the PSRM, with chances of entering Parliament, will take place only when the PCRM’s popular approval rating decreases significantly,” said the analysts.

The People’s Movement “Antimafie” comes seventh. The analysts consider that this party will not improve its position in the rankings as it substitutes its systemic political activities with the exploitation of different public scandal, and has rather small chances of entering Parliament.

The National Liberal Party (PNL) took the eight position, while the People’s Party of Moldova (PPRM) - the ninth. For the first time, the Party of Regions of Moldova led by the Bashkan of Gagauzia Mihail Formuzal entered the top 10 rankings, being the tenth. Experts believe this party has electoral chances only hypothetically.

The July rankings were compiled with the participation of 28 experts.
