The chairman of the Liberal-Democratic Party (PLDM), Prime Minister Vlad Filat admits that when the agreement to constitute the Alliance for European Integration was signed, they indirectly tried to politicize a number of state institutions, but this is a past stage. “I hope very much that the political class and whole society learned the lessons. When we form new alliances in the future, we will not repeat the same mistakes. I maintain the viewpoint that I always stated – the state institutions empowered to do justice in Moldova must be outside political games,” Vlad Filat told Radio Free Europe in an interview, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Referring to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Premier said the reformation of this institution takes place slowly because they probably don’t want to hasten this process. According to him, the reform terms were set mistakenly. “I don’t understand why we do not move sufficiently fast in reforming the prosecution service when we managed to reform the CCCEC during a year and during almost half a year implemented a serious reform at the Ministry of the Interior, which has many employees and many and complex activities,” said the Liberal-Democratic leader. He also said that Moldova cannot enter the European Union with a prosecution service with a Soviet-like structure and working model.
