The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) invited the Democratic Party (PDM), the Liberal Party (PL) and the colleagues from Iurie Leanca’s group to negotiations, which will most probably take place in the afternoon of December 14, IPN reports.

The acting chairman of the PLDM Valeriu Strelet has told IPN that he yesterday phoned the leaders of the PDM and PL to invite them to talks, but managed to talk to the Liberals’ leader Mihai Ghimpu only. Written invitations were sent today to all the three negotiating parties – PDM, PL and Leanca’s group. The Democrats responded that they will be available after 4pm. The sides are thus to agree the place and hour of the meeting between them as the PLDM is always open for negotiations.

In the December 13 meeting, the PLDM’s National Political Council decided that the Lib-Dems will take part in the negotiations to form a ruling alliance and a government, but will insist on the objectives formulated earlier. These are: to remove the independent institutions from political and party captivity; to name an apolitical person as Prime Minister and to re-form government.
