The National Political Council of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) elected vice president Iulian David as acting president, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the party.
In a meeting on August 1, the PLDM’s National Political Council took note of Alexandru Bujorean’s decision to quit as acting president as he also holds the post of mayor of Leova town.
On the party’s website, it is said that Iulian David had served as vice president of PLDM since March 2019, being a member since 2007. He has a Bachelor of Economics in marketing from the Academy of Economic Studies and a Master of Management from the Moldova Free International University. Since 2011 until present, he has served as a district councilor in Călărași. During 17 years, he had held executive posits at private trading and building companies.
In the meeting, the administration of PLDM also discussed the political situation after the snap parliamentary elections of July 11, the party’s activity during the electoral period and its immediate objectives. It was decided that PLDM will hold its Tenth Congress on December 5, 2021.
