The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) submitted the documents needed for registering its candidate for the mayoralty of Chisinau Serafim Urechean and its candidates for the posts of municipal councilor as election runners to the Chisinau District Electoral Council.
The Council’s chairman Ion Turcan has told IPN that the Communist Reformist Party also filed the documents, but these were returned without being examined given that the Ministry of Justice suspended this party’s registration.
On the ballot for the mayoral elections in Chisinau, Serafim Urechean will be under No. 6, while on the list for the Chisinau Council, the PLDM will rank fifth.
