PLDM demands calling special session of legislature

The parliamentary faction of the Liberal Democratic Party requested the Speaker to convene a special session of the legislative body within which to examine the way the responsible bodies dealt with the case of Sorin Paciu’s shooting during hunting on December 23, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the PLDM, the faction held a meeting on January 11 and analyzed the existing information about the incident. “According to the preliminary conclusions, serious shortcomings were identified in the work of the law enforcement bodies,” the Liberal-Democratic faction says in a communiqué. Members of the faction said the Moldovans continue to be misinformed. “The Liberal-Democratic faction considers that all the persons with public posts involved in this tragic accdient must resign,” it is said in the communique. The faction will propose creating a commission of inquiry into this case.
