The faction of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) in the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) does not take part in today’s meeting of the Council because the councilors of the Liberal Party and the Communist Party formed an alliance in the CMC. The announcement was made by the head of the Liberal-Democratic faction Gennady Dumanschi in a news conference, IPN reports.
Gennady Dumanschi said that since May the agenda of the CMC meetings has been compiled by the joint votes of the Liberal and Communist factions. “The common actions show that a concrete alliance without fissures was formed within the CMC. The disputes in the CMC meetings between the councilors of both of the factions are for the sake of video cameras,” he stated.
He added that if Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca supports the alliance between the two factions, the Liberal-Democratic councilors will move to the opposition.
