The deputy head of the Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) Tatiana Potang said their party is subject to attacks on the part of colleagues from the government coalition, who see that the PLR became an alternative for the undecided voters. The statement was made in a press briefing on November 6, IPN reports.
“The coalition partners – the PDM and PLDM – got scared that an alternative with honest people appeared and we are now witnessing an attempt to destroy the PLR. The actions were carefully planned and reveal a scheme aimed at destroying the only alternative that could motivate the over 30% of undecided Moldovans to take part in elections,” stated Tatiana Potang.
She also spoke about the decision of Minister of Youth and Sport Octavian Bodisteanu to leave the PLR. “Internal polls show that 10% of the people intend to vote for us and the number of our supporters is increasing. This scares our opponents. The PLDM promised posts to some, while the PDM promised to close criminal cases or to protect the businesses to others or simply bought them. Those weak didn’t resist. We know that oligarchic pressure was exerted on Bodisteanu, who could not endure. We consider that he discredited himself,” said the deputy head of the PLR.
She also said that in these critical conditions, the PLR calls on the people of good faith, who got tired of mafia schemes to vote with dignity not the small evil, but the good alternative.
