The children hospitalized at the Mother and Child Institute will be able to play in a special room set up inside the Chisinau maternity hospital. The playroom is the first project implemented within the campaign “Revive Moldova”. It was officially opened in the presences of singers Adrian Ursu and Marcel and Cornelia Stefanet and the founder of the Edelweiss Foundation Vlad Plahotniuc, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the project.

The playroom was fully renovated. It was outfitted with furniture of vivid colors and toys for children of all ages, who are treated at the Mother and Child Institute. “I’m overwhelmed every time I come to the maternity hospital because my two boys were born here. On the occasion of June 1, I wish everyone to have healthy children. I wish the parents to come to the Mother and Child Institute with their children as seldom as possible or not at all. However, we must make sure that they enjoy the conditions that our children didn’t enjoy,” Vlad Plahotniuc said in the opening ceremony.

He announced that he will make another personal donation within the fundraising campaign “Revive Moldova”, for modernizing the Mother and Child Institute. “When this campaign started, I wanted to make a donation from the very beginning. I’m glad that more businessmen joined this campaign recently. Today I make a new donation, of 500,000 lei. We want this money to help hasten the renovation and modernization works. We will return to do more,” stated the founder of Edelweiss.

The children receiving now treatment at the Mother and Child Institute had fund together with Adrian Ursu and his family and the couple Marcel and Cornelia Stefanet. “For us, this institution is very important. We will give birth to our daughter here. The renovation and the improvement of conditions at the hospital are very important for the mothers and kids. This is a praiseworthy campaign,” said Cornelia Stefanet.

Adrian Ursu said that his daughter was born also at this hospital. “We know that there are difficult deliveries and modern equipment and a good atmosphere are very important. I wish you as many accomplishments as possible and healthy children and happy mothers,” he stated.

Personalities from the country and abroad and businessmen have made donations within this campaign. The 3,941,944.16 lei collected until now will be used to repair the building and to purchase modern medical devices. Those who want can make donations on the number 9944 through an SMS or by transferring money to the Institute’s accounts.
