About 100 playgrounds, 35 fitness grounds and seven sports ground will be built in the yards of apartment buildings in Chisinau. The announcement was made by the head of the General Public Amenities Division Ion Burdiumov in the ordinary meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, IPN reports.
According to Ion Burdiumov, about 200 million lei will be allocated from the municipal budget for implementing the first project, to lay out playgrounds for children. The public procurement procedure was already launched and the tender contest will take place this weekend. The works to build the playgrounds will be completed by the end of this year.
A sum of 6 million lei was earmarked for putting up 35 fitness grounds in 2018. The tender contest for this project will be announced later. Another 5 million lei will go to build seven sports grounds in yards of apartment buildings and the tender contest for this project will be held on June 19. “We will monitor the works so that they are executed on time and are of an appropriate quality,” stated Ion Burdiumov.
Acting mayor Ruslan Codreanu requested the Division to make public the list of addresses where the grounds will be built. He urged the citizens to monitor the works and to signal eventual irregularities.
