A playground for children with special needs has been installed in Chisinau’s Valea Trandafirilor Park and is now open to visitors, announced the municipality.
The complex is equipped with accessible elements, swings with additional safety features, slides, fixed bridges and anti-traumatic surfacing. There are also parallel bars, chairs suitable for the needs of the little ones, double swings, activity panels for fine motor skills, fitness equipment, and a chess table accessible to people who use a wheelchair.
The contract for installing the playground was awarded following a public procurement procedure.
In the immediate vicinity, work is underway to set up another playground, which will be completed soon. At the same time, until the end of the year, a volleyball court will be set up in the area.
