Actors of “Studio Geneza Art” Theater put on a play about love, homeland and mother under the verses of poet Grigore Vieru, themed “The Tear”, in the evening of November 10. The key message of the play was “I like life to tears”. The play has three acts and includes a series of verses by the great bard, Info-Prim Neo reports. Director and actress Daniela Burlaca said the play is aimed at highlighting the beauty of Grigore Vieru’s poems. “We hope the people who will see the play will become better and sincere, as Grigore Vieru was,” she stated. Another actress who played a part in “The Tear”, Mariana Bratu said the play focuses on childhood, love, homeland and the mother – the issues addressed by the great Grigore Vieru. “The play is based on a national idea and spirit. For me it is like purification because the costumes and the repertoire were chosen minutely so that they transmit a message that we hope the spectators will remember,” she said. Vera Turcanu, who also played on the stage, said it is difficult to play under the verses of the remarkable poet Grigore Vieru, but it is simultaneously very pleasant and nice. “It is hard to play a poem, but when the poems are written by such a great poet it is 100 times more difficult,” she stated. “It is a great responsibility to put on a play under the verses of a poet who is a supreme value of the artistic creation. It is a dramatic performance with personages and relations that treats life from the poet’s view,” said actor Iurie Gologan. Fitter Ludmila Burlaca said the play was produced by “Studio Geneza Art” in partnership with the Interethnic Relations Bureau, which implements a Romanian language learning program. “This play is not the first centering on the teaching and studying of the Romanian language. There was first the play “Blue Flower” and then a performance for children. Today it is an evening of poems by Grigore Vieru,” she said. Attending the event, the late poet’s wife Raisa Vieru said she was impressed to see the actors reciting the poems of Grigore Vieru and she was very glad that the hall was full of young people, who showed they respect and value Grigore Vieru. The play “The Tear” will be also presented on November 11 starting at 6pm, at the House of Nationalities.
