A platform for dialogue with German investors will be created in Chisinau under the aegis of the Embassy of Germany and the Ministry of Economy with a view to improving the business environment in the country. The proposal was submitted in a meeting of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar and Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Matthias Meyer, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Economy, the ambassador said that the European countries want to contribute to Moldova’s European integration. He underlined the necessity of attracting more businessmen from the West, who would contribute to stabilizing the social-economic situation.
The official proposed organizing a meeting of a group of German investors, who are in Moldova on a visit, with the minister of economy so as to increase the investors’ confidence in the Moldovan economy. The meeting may center on issues related to the business environment, including fiscal and tax administration, and the issuing of different authorizations.
The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the idea and suggested establishing a permanent dialogue by involving other ministers too. In another connection, Valeriu Lazar reiterated the invitation for the administration of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology to visit Moldova together with representatives of a group of German industrial companies.
