The platform finantare.gov.md was updated by being added two new financing lines intended for developing Moldovan companies. The lines include the loan provided by the Government of Poland and the grants offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway. The portal provides information about all the opportunities of financing businesses, including the interest rates, backers, participating banks or institutions, grace periods, available sum and other details, IPN reports.

According to the Economic Council working under the Prime Minister, benefitting from the lending scheme, grants or subsidies, the Moldovan entrepreneurs can develop their businesses and significantly increase the quality of exports and the capacity to export, becoming thus more competitive and creating new jobs.

The loan from the Polish Government can be provided in the form of supplies of goods, equipment and services to final beneficiaries in Moldova. It is intended for investments in modern technology for harvesting, processing, keeping, sorting and packing agrifood products and in innovations and modern technology for meeting the EU food safety and quality standards. A loan can amount to at most €2 million.

The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ grants are designed for developing innovatory businesses that ensure sustainable economic growth at local level. These will represent up to US$8,000 or at most 60% of the total value of the project for pre-commercial initiatives to develop innovations. The grants will be provided through the pre-application and full application methods.

The business financing opportunities total about €465 million.
