The plan of action for developing the commercial-economic relations between Moldova and Russia for 2016-2017 is to be signed in a meeting of the Moldovan-Russian commission for commercial-economic cooperation at the end of November in Sochi. A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of the commission’s co-chairmen, Deputy Prime Ministers Octavian Calmac and Dmitry Rogozin, in Chisinau, IPN reports.
The plan of action contains 13 chapters that refer to the commercial-economic sphere, transport, agriculture and food industry, industry, energy, business community, humanitarian sphere, etc. Octavian Calmac and Dmitry Rogozin agreed that until the meeting of the intergovernmental commission, groups of experts will prepare the required protocol and technical procedures for signing the document. The two officials ascertained that the barriers existing in the bilateral commercial-economic relations can be eliminated even if Moldova takes part in a free trade regime both with the EU and with the CIS.
The Deputy Prime Ministers discussed a series of subjects from the agenda of the bilateral relations, including the elimination of customs duties, transportation of Moldovan goods via the Russian Federation to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, intensification of the commercial-economic cooperation based on the CIS platform and preconditions for ensuring the transportation of goods.
