The Liberal Party (PL) has announced the launch of a nationwide campaign entitled “Sign the PL’s Statement on the Union with Motherland Romania”. Such a decision was taken in the September 16 meeting of the PL’s Standing Bureau.
According to vice president and member of the PL’s Standing Bureau Valeriu Munteanu, signatures will be collected until December 1. Afterward, the campaign will be extended, if need be. The signatures will be collected by the party’s staff members in each locality of the country concomitantly.
“We want to collect all the signatures in the Republic of Moldova. All those who want the union and consider, as we do, that only the union of the Republic of Moldova and Romania is an appropriate way out for each citizen are invited to sign,” Valeriu Munteanu stated for IPN.
The collected signatures will be presented to the legislative bodies of Moldova and Romania. The campaign is launched officially on September 23.
