The Liberal Party (PL) condemns the attacks on unionism and Romanianism staged in Moldova, the party’s leader Mihai Ghimpu said in a news conference, quoted by IPN.
“The unionism and Romanianism are not diversions, but political options that attract an increasing number of supporters,” stated Mihai Ghimpu, noting that given the prolonged crisis in Moldova, the integration into the EU is possible by reuniting with Romania.
In the same news conference, the politician condemned the misinforming statements made by Romanian opinion leaders. According to him, a former presidential adviser from Romania ‘dared’ to associate him with the theft of the 1US$billion in a TV program.
Mihai Ghimpu said he already sent a relevant challenge to the National Audiovisual Council of Romania and intends to sue the former presidential adviser so as to defend his name and reputation.
