The pipeline that supplies water to Floreni village of Anenii Noi district and to Sangera and Dobrogea villages of Chisinau municipality burst following the increased daily consumption of water during the dog days. The water supplier said multiple leakages occurred on a segment of about 2 km, IPN reports.
In a communique, SA “Apa-Canal Chisianu” says that works to replace this section of the steel pipe that is over 40 years old with a ductile crude iron pipe are being performed as a matter of urgency. The first stage of the works that covered about 600 meters was completed. The pipeline will be put into operation immediately after the washing and disinfection procedures are finished. To restore the normal supply of water, the company’s teams are carrying out works to remove the leakages round-the-clock.
The water supplier provides the consumers with water in tanks.
